RE: Now that was frightening!

I thought we had turned this corner Lance. Why couldn't you just send this
particular post directly to her?

People, you ought to see the stuff he sends to me (even though it gets bounced right back to him) that doesn't make it to this list. Turned the corner? Hardly.

I watched the games on tape. They bit. I'm not a happy camper. There's room for a bit of negativity after the two losses we've suffered. Fair enough. It's hardly season-ending, however. There's eighty games left, and the core of this team proved last year that they can bounce back, both in individual games, and as a team during a series of games. There's hope. Ya think the team is happy? They'll try to fix what's ailing them. Let's hope it works. Because you have to win a game to start a winning streak. Here's hoping they do fix it, because it's painful to watch right now. One of the beauties of the NBA is the mutability of a team. They may start badly, and then when (if?) they rip off a few, the story will be all about how they rebounded from the bad start.

That's not to say criticism isn't warranted. It certainly is at this point. But, my goodness, we sure have a lot of Chicken Littles nowadays. Two games and people are either candidates for the suicide watch or members of the 12-step "Rage-aholics" program. Relax. Take the medication of your choice. Maintain an even keel. Roll with the punches. Wait until 20 or so games have passed to ready the razor and draw the warm bath. Remember, we've all seen worse. Though, with the success of last season, we expected more, these guys need a chance to mesh before the towel's thrown in.

Whatta team the Obie-era incarnation of this team, is, though. Playoff-record comeback. History-making defeat. Almost everything in between. They ain't dull, that's for sure. It's the payback for the league-leading sixteen championships, folks, I'm telling ya. So we thought it was over with a few deaths and ML Carr/Pitino. That's the thing with payback, though. It's a ... .
