Another scorer
Remember Josip Sesar, the Croatian guard we picked up in the 2nd round of
the 2000 draft? A clip about him says "One of the top scorers in the
Croatian League for the past four seasons. Changed his role in the last
season to become more of a point guard, setting career-high in assists. A
dangerous three-point shooter who has shot over 40 percent from three-point
range in three of past four seasons."
Dunno when the Cs are planning to bring him over here - he's 24 this year.
I think Kedrick will eventually be an offensive force, but that's looking
at least 2 years down the line. Forte, I have no idea what his game is.
As for the rebounder, wouldn't it be nice to find an Aaron Williams type
somewhere?
The team did a *great* job this year. Who'd have thought they'd be 3 rounds
into the playoffs?!! EWill's bum finger has been a huge factor in this
series. I wouldn't be surprised if Pierce was tired by now - they're not
used to 1) playing this late 2) playing playoff basketball - much more
physical and intense. I think that's affecting his shooting. I still give
them half a chance to beat the Nets, though.

Our future depends on elevating the general offensive level of our
team. The trade looks good for now, but this is a best case
scenario. Philly was down, Detroit was overachieving. We need a
consistent shooter to put Williams on the bench and we need a big-time
rebounder to relieve Antoine and Battie and for crunch time defensive
boards. I'm encouraged that we're moving in that direction with Rogers
(hopefully) and perhaps Kedrick. Still, I hope we add one quality player
in the off-season. Cheers. Gene
