Re: Wallace hints that Forte was a mistake

Josh, I thought you did a great interview and I could tell you were really trying to pin Wallace down on a few things. BUT, Wallace came off like a politician, speaking many words, but saying nothing! We missed out on a good draft this year. Maybe JJ, & KB & JF were the best players available, I don't believe that, but for sake of argument lets asume it for now. We already had 6 or 7 players just like them, maybe not as good, but play the same positions. All 3 of these guys can NEVER develop into good players, because there is NO WAY we can give them all playing time. No Way!! Obie has already proved that. Forte's contract will be up before he gets any meaningful minutes on this team. There are to many players a head of him that have to play if this team is to be competitive, and Obie has proved he will not sacrifice minutes for wins, even if we are down 30, the rooks still don't get in. That is my proof, all 3 of these guys can never develop.
We should have taken a chance on a big player, a point guard, traded up, traded for the future, something other than we did. We can't go back and change that. But we can/should try to change now. Trade one of these guys, who ever you can the best deal, not just any deal for the sake of making a deal, but a good deal that will help us NOW. I don't know what/if anything can be done before deadline, but we may be in danger of not even making playoffs this year even though we were at last glance seeded 4th.. Teams behind us are coming on strong, the playoffs are not a sure thing this year BUT if we could get in we might surprise some teams because it is wide open in the East. I challenge Wallace to be creative and take a chance now before it is to late. We have some good/extra assets at the 2/3 postitions, lets move some of our strengths to shore up some of our weeknesses. There seems to be a lot of talk about teams trying to do things, I can't help but believe that we !
could get a little something done if the "braintrust" would just put in a little effort.
