Re: Vin Baker

<< ome good points here. The Baker trade will come to fruition in a few years
as a disaster. To even mention him even in Parish's late career is silly.
Why will he do better in the playoffs as compared to now? Will he don a
 different suit?

The playoffs are different because teams learn the other teams strengths and
weeknesses. Teams learn to take away certain options. What you want is other
options, especially low post play because shots there should be high
percantage ones. If Walker and Pierce go cold or overplayed in the playoffs
like they did in the Net series, you want another option to go to. Another
instance would be if you get matched up with a team that has a lot of good
defensive players in the 2-4 positions capable of shutting down Pierce and
Walker, you would want to attack them at the five spot with Baker.
The point is that in the playoffs, the game changes to a series of moves and
counter moves, who is hot, who isn't. You want to have the most ammo in your
pocket. The regular season is totally different, a lot more fast breaking and
you see a different team ever night....
