Heh. Again, they couldn't have known or guessed, or been better
prognosticators. No, they have to be "diehard, gooey fans". Impossible
that they were somehow smarter. No matter.

More importantly, the Celtics played well today. Unfortunately, so did
Philly. Walker was on fire early, Pierce ended up with a good line, and
everyone else played pretty well, though Strick didn't have an great game,
he played good D on AI. Delk, also, was ineffective on offense, but
played enthusiastic defense. He made a number of mental errors while he
was in, though, and I was glad to see him leave. Did anyone catch Waltah
playing in the crunch time minutes? Amazing, but I might have kept him in
there, too. As someone wisely mentioned earlier, many people, including
me, were wrong about guys like McCarty, Williams, and even Kenny. It has
come to the point where Waltah was open for a three, but passed it up in
favor of passing it in to the paint. A traditionalist would have been
appreciative, but all I could think about was that McCarty ought to have
taken that good, open look for the bomb. Years ago, I wouldn't even want
McCarty touching the ball, much less taking a long-range shot. Speaking
of turnarounds... .
