National Basketball Association Standings By Conference
It would appear that Indiana is in trouble, but Toronto has it's work cut
out for them. Without Carter, they have done an admirable job, but Indiana
has the easier schedule. They do play each other twice.
A few weeks ago, there were those (idiots) calling for Lenny Wilkins
head. I doubt if the Toronto press is repeating those calls now, but if the
Pacers don't get in, Isaih had better hire a PR firm. Toronto is hockey
country, but not Indiana.
Who will the C's play? Charlotte, Millwaukee or Philladelphia seem the
most likely right now. "Name your poison." I doubt if we will be favored
against any of them, even with home court advantage. Lappdog (our Vegas
insider), what are your thoughts on this?
If we catch Detroit, who gets home court if we meet up with them in a
later round? My recollection is that the seeded team, winning the Western
conference, only gets home court advantage over a team with a better record,
in the first round.

Standings indicate how teams are positioned to make the
playoffs. The top eight teams in each conference qualify
for the playoffs with the two division winners seeded
number one and two regardless of their records. The top
seed will play the eighth seed in the first round, the
second seed will play the seventh, etc.
