good shooting and defensive quickness...that answers major concerns about
whether he's just a great leaper. Kedrick's amateur stats bear out Obie's
initial observations.
It'll just take more time I think, and that's to be expected. Based on
Kedrick's shooting/rebounding/assist stats in school and what we know about
his athleticism, I'm still very happy with this pick even compared to what
else was available (Richard Jefferson is really the only "impact" rookie
not also available with the 21st pick). It sounds like Kedrick has the same
set of skills as Vince Carter, but then again don't they all!
The rest of the 11-20 picks aren't doing any better with their playing time
than what I'd imagine Kedrick or Forte could do if they were force fed the
minutes. IMO it was worth rolling the dice on Kedrick Brown. Its
gratifying to hear he's starting to outplay people in practice. Frankly,
its all good right now, what with Joe Johnson's ROY-type start.
I just hope to see some Celtic Pride on Wednesday.
