Re: Webber scenario, Griffin impressive in Bulls Workout

Williams is Webber's best buddy and he wants out due to lack of playing
time. I would still make an offer of Walker, Anderson and #10 for Webber and
Williams. We would be solid at the 1 and 4 and 2 or 3 with Pierce, so I
would take the best available at 11, possibly a defensive specialist like
Jefferson, or Johnson, Forte or Hassel. What about Gerald Wallace ? His
profile sounds like Darius Miles to me

Then for with the best available at 21. Gilbert Arenas, Trenton Hassel ,
Tayshaun Prince, Delambert, Ken Johnson or Radmanovic

Griffin Wows Bulls in Chicago
Seton Hall freshman Eddie Griffin was just happy to be wearing Bulls shorts
at his first workout for the Chicago Bulls yesterday. "It's a great feeling
to sit here in Bulls shorts," Griffin said. "I was thinking that Michael
Jordan wore these shorts." They must have inspired him.

A source at the workout told sportsTALK that Eddie Griffin lit up the
competition and had a stellar workout for the Bulls. "He was phenomenal,"
the source told sportsTALK. "This kid is going to be special." Griffin
worked out alongside high school phenom Tyson Chandler, DePaul center Steven
Hunter and Iowa State's Martin Rancik yesterday. But all eyes were on
Griffin. However, given a string of strong workouts by Griffin, he may not
be available when the Bulls pick at number four -- if the Bulls even own the
pick.

The Chicago Sun Times is reporting this morning that Jerry Krause spent time
during the workouts working the phones. He said there has been interest from
teams looking to trade for the fourth pick. "Suffice to say there's interest
in a lot of things we have," Krause said. "I'm talking to people about a lot
of things, and the No. 4 pick is a valuable pick."

Chandler's workout was less impressive the source told sportsTALK. "He
seemed a bit tentative and his shots just weren't falling for him." Chandler
is well aware that he's under a microscope right now. "Teams watch you
during the season and know about your weaknesses, and what they're trying to
do during the workouts is to exploit the weaknesses they think you have,"
Chandler told the Sun Times. "People think the same about me as [Chris]
Mihm, that I'm soft. But I feel I'm nowhere near as soft, so when I go to
these workouts, I try to . . . play more aggressively."

DePaul center Steven Hunter also had a good workout according to the source.
"He still needs to gain more weight," the source told sportsTALK, "but he's
further along than Chandler is right now." Hunter told the Daily Herald
that teams are just now realizing his potential. "I did great (for the Bulls
on Wednesday)," Hunter said after the workout. "Tyson, he's pretty much the
same player as me, the same type of movements, height and agility. A lot of
high school players are ranked ahead of me (in the draft). But the thing is
I'm only 19 years old and I have two years of major college basketball. So I
have just as much potential as these guys, I think. People are starting to
realize that."
