Seattle and Baker

I must say that I totally agree. I think Seattle would be a great trading
partner for us. I personally know a trainer from CT that has worked with
many athletes, including Gary Payton, Tim Duncan, and Vin Baker. He says
that Vin did indeed have the alcohol problem that was made public before,
but he had control of it. He also said that he is really dying to get back
to the east coast where he feels he can flourish. He says that the two teams
he would really like to be on are the Celtics or the Knicks. He really does
not like the Seattle atmosphere and needs to try to rejuvenate his career
back near his routes (he was born in CT). He is trying to do all he can to
get back here.

The only problem is, Vin is signed to a huge 7 year $86 mil deal that ends
in 2006. I'd also like Shammond Williams definitely and possibly Patterson
if possible. I'm not sure what kind of deal they could put together though,
with Baker being signed to such a huge contract. Is it possible for Baker
to renegotiate his contract so that he could be traded back to where he
wants to play? Do you think he'd do that. I know that Baker at his best
would give the Celtics a legitimate inside scorer and rebounder, a play that
could possibly play Center for them. The Celts would have to probably give
up atleast 2 picks and I'm not sure which players.

Just something to think about, and I swear, this friend of mine is no joke.
