I understand that sentiment, but there is a context. For instance, what if
a team built around two perimeter slasher/scorer/ballhandlers chose to rely
on a PG in the mold of BJ Armstrong, John Paxson or Ron Harper? Why, they
would be the Chicago Bulls.

  I think you are becoming an apologist Joe. Running Antoine at the point is not like having Jordan off to the side to make the play when all else breaks down.
  What scares me is that with Antoine running the show, and ensconced at the 4,  as Wallace said in his interview, we can't draft a point guard or a power forward. If we want rebounding or shot blocking help it must come from the center spot where we already have three players and if we want ball handling, fast breaking, drive and dish  help, it must come from an off guard. Are we going to draft three wing players who shoot the three and in two or three years will learn to be adequate ball handlers?
  Seems curious and a large handicap.
