Re: What about Cisse?
I wonder about Cisse, too. In all the reports of him going head to head
with any of the other centers, he supposedly had them for lunch (and at 4"
shorter). He sounds like just the talent we could use, but with all these
other kids now maybe falling to #21, he might not be the bpa at that spot
anymore.
I read that he had an ACL problem - sketchy details all the way around
because of the cone of silence his agent/adopted dad has around him. Could
be that the Cs have him in their plans, but are keeping mum.
We can't figure out our team needs based on Walker. You could say "we need
a big 4" but then AW plays the 4. You could say "we need a wing scorer" but
AW plays the wing. etc. etc. Obviously with Toine at 4 and Vitaly at 5, you
need a rebounder. So get one and move Toine on over to wherever. details,
details... Surprised to hear about Loren Woods, but I still don't think
he's tough enough. I'd love to have Diop fall to #10, but in reality
that's pretty doubtful. We'll at least have one of: Battier, White,
Richardson, Gasol, Chandler, and Johnson. Surprise slides could include
Diop, Chandler, and Richardson. Other kids I think we'll look at with #11
would be VladRad and Murphy. I'd be surprised if they took Tinsley or Cook
that early, but they could still be there at #21, as could Randolph or
Bradley. Someone's going to slide at both spots (10 & 21) which feels
great! Then of course are the scorers we need: Forte & Hassell. I feel
like I'm holding a Whitman Sampler in my hands -- choices, choices...
The usenet draft seems to be only using existing scouting reports this
year, with JazzyJ's stats. I used to love all the reports from netizens
who had watched the college kids for four years. Now that the HS and
foreign kids make up such a large part of the draft, our eyewitness reports
are generally limited to pro scouts etc.
