Closest two are;

Pierce draft - Mike Bibby.
Walker draft - Shareef Abdur-Rahim

That in itself is scary. Vancouver/Memphis are the only other team to have had
similar-caliber talents and to have not made the playoffs with it. While we have
better records than the Grizzlies, the way we've played them in the past
indicates that we may be only marginally better than they have been, eg. the
laughing stock of the NBA. Thank the heavens that we are not out in the Western
Conference and actually had to play the teams that the Griz go up against four
times a season.

In the end, Vancouver was forced into moving to Memphis due to the Canadian
economics, but how much of that was also a lack of success (yes, Grizzlie fans
are surprisingly very knowledgable about the league as a whole) and upon moving
gave up both in very quesstionable trades which saw lesser talents move in.

Looking at it from this angle and Mark's points become a lot more solid and his
voice of concern must be shared.... I cant continue this post as I am going away
for a few days (possibly), so I'll wrap it up here, read the new responses upon
my return and post a fresh response.

Cheers,
