You all know my concerns about Jim O'Brien. He took his mad-bomber 3-point
strategy to the University of Dayton and ran that program so far into the
ground the fans could hear Chinese. I'm just concerned that he's a guy who
puts no value on big men. We're collecting swingmen and shooters-which is
fine, because they're talented and will have value-but we have shown no
interest at all in big men.

Pretty funny stuff Mark, but you raise a good concern concerning O'Brien's history. After the Debacle at Dayton(who needs Don King?), no other college wanted to give him a chance.
On the other hand, just because Diop could have been there at 10 or Haywood at 21, doesn't mean they were the best player available. I think that's what management was trying to say. Time will tell on that one. Wallace isn't also afflicted with anti-big man phobia is he?
Let me throw in another fish on the Nazr Mohammed fire. I watched him dominate last summer at Shaw's and so did Larry Brown. Brown has had him for three years and prefered McCullough as his back up, while Geiger was hurt. He never hesitated to throw him in to the Mutombo deal either.
I'd be wary of any of those Kentucky kids. LOL Seriously, if Larry Brown had him for three years and didn't play him.......
Remember also, I've said it over and over, Nazr remains in Atlanta, unless some team, under the cap, gets really stupid and offers him a hideous contract. Atlanta can match any offer and surely will, unless it's so far out of the reality the Celtics live in, that even Atlanta has to let him go.
Reality? Can we really talk of reality and contracts for basketball players? I heard today that Houston is re-signing with NY for 99 million and read that Antonio Davis has re-signed with Toronto(no surprise here) for 5 years and 60 million. At the end of five years he'll be what; 43?
Please! 60 million dollars! 99 million dollars! What do these players do with that kind of money after they buy mom a house for half a million and a half a million on jewelry and another half a million on cars?
