Re: Toine's lack of finesse

I am still not sold that being a great player results in a good coach or
talent evaluator. I never thought Russell was a good coach. Jabbar has not
even been given a look. Phil Jackson and Riley were mediocre role players
but have been successful coaches. The GM's behind them and having some good
talent have helped.

I was not overly impressed with Larry's effort in Indiana. He inherited a
good core of veterans in guys like Miller and Jackson.

Based on AW's career so far I tend to lean toward Danny. I just don't see
the discipline we need. I do think he has talent but does not fit at the 3
or 4 spots which causes problems. If he wasin better shape and bulked up he
could be a monster 4, but doesn't have much jumping ability. He has passed
well in the last few weeks but too many 3-19 nights and still firing to help
a team. I would move him for Elton Brand ( an old school 4) or Rahim or
Bibby.

Walker, Herren and the Denver Pick for Rahim & Bibby ? They need to rebuild
and I don't think the Denver pick will help us much.

I like what I have seen from Eddie Griffin, but unless we have some real
luck I doubt we will land him.
