The Celtic "Tird", as always. One thing you would learn at the
school is that accusing others of being homosexual is an
inappropriate (and often offensive not to mention ineffective)
rhetorical tactic to use in a debate. Even for what passes for
debate sometimes in this forum. Even against such competition as has
emerged in this particular brouhaha. You'd have to give out a real
name, though. The Celtic "Tird", he does not like the exclusive use
of "handles." I must be one of those "ironic men."

I feel the need to discuss the Celtics now. In stories posted
earlier today, the Herald said that Jason Kidd would not be with the
team, but the Globe announced that he would be, and probably would
play (I don't see why he wouldn't if he was physically in Boston).
Which is it, I wonder? Guess we'll see. The Suns are a tough team
regardless, but I like the C's chances against a Kidd-less Suns
rather than with Mr Triple-Double-Waiting-To-Happen manning the point.

Even without Kidd, the Suns have Uncle Cliffy, Rodney Rogers and
Shawn Marion (sometimes painful to watch, seeing as how he might have
been in Green) to throw at the Celtics. Imagine Kidd, and a healthy
Penny in there with a healthy Googs (though Googs hasn't been the
same as his early career), and the Suns are a monster.

Things are tough all over, though, as the C's point guard situation
evidences. I wonder how many minutes KA will play: "spot" minutes
turned into something like 30 the last time he came off an injury.
Good news that Herren might be back for the Big Western Road Trip,
but bad news that Battie probably won't be.

All in all, that was a pretty pathetic Celtics-related discussion,
but at least it didn't involve baseless accusations, charges of
homosexuality, or the like.

Regards,

Bill (Celticus "Tirdius")
