Pat Riley has had it with the Heat's losing ways. Yes, they're facing
injuries, and yes, they were forced to dump two of their best players
this
summer. But this is getting out of hand.

"You're 2-14. Do you think I'm going to go to 2-24?" the Heat coach
asked
rhetorically. "Maybe, but it won't be with the same group of guys. ...
If
I can't get any change, I'll get rid of them or they'll get rid of me.
It's who gets who first."

In 20 years, Riley has never had a losing team or been out of the
playoffs. He's not ready to accept it now.

"They're afraid of each other," he told the Florida Sun Sentinel. "They
don't get into each other's [butts]. They don't demand anything from
each
other."

Uh, that might be going a little far, Pat. (For the record, the Miami
Herald put "faces" in brackets instead of "butts." We have no idea what
Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel was thinking. . .and really don't
want
to know.)

Perhaps we should all chip in and get Riles a "Mr. Hat" puppet.
