I don't think Palacio is playing poorly.

There are things I like about his game, but playing point guard is not
one of them. Just as at Shaw's this summer, before the team took off, after
El-Amin (oh, oh, that name again) came to town, we are seeing Milt's
weakness, in this area. He dribbles over half court, stops, looks for
Antoine and hands off. If Walker is not on the floor, he seems to have no
other option. This was glaring against Toronto, because Antoine sat for a
good piece of Palacio's stint during the third quarter.
He can play in this league. He plays good defense, has a strong move to
the basket and has developed a nice outside shot. Before Anderson's
exhumation, this is about all we wanted from a point guard; see Strickland
and Forte, but if this team is going in another direction than Antoine being
the focus of the offense (and I hope it is), we will need an upgrade over
Milt, or he's going to have to learn some rudimentary passes.
