Kenny vs Milt - that's easy.....

Everyone had really interesting thoughts about this
issue. I don't agree however that Milt is the same or
better than Kenny offensively. From what I saw at the
Shaw's league Milt still has no 3 pointer and his
playmaking skills are awful. He had a ton of
turnovers taking the ball to the hole. It just seems
(statwise anyway) that Milt is Kenny's equal on the
court because Kenny was injured all last season. I
mean a point guard needs speed to get by his defender
to set people up and he needs healthy legs to to hit
his jumpers, both of which Kenny did not have last
year due to his broken jaw and sprained ankle. How
anyone expected Kenny to succeed last year is beyond
me. It's like expecting a boxer to win a match with a
broken arm. It can't be done if the basic tools are
not there and Kenny literally had nothing to go on
last season. No foot speed, endurance, or lift in his
jumpers (as evidence by his line drive arc in his
shooting). Skillwise, with the game on the line, I
would take Kenny over Milt anytime anywhere. He may
not be an All-Star any more but his experience and
playmaking makes him more valuable in crunch time
situation than Milt.

BUT if I were to think long term and financially,
Milt does have more upside because he's younger and is
costing the Celts next to nothing. For the money the
C's are paying Kenny, he should putting up close to
all-star numbers (even when healthy) or at least be
top ten in the league in assists. But his numbers
have been low even before the injuries and he's past
his prime so in the long run, Kenny is not the ideal
guard for the Celts. So in accordance with everyone
else's view, I also would keep Milt and use the money
for Kenny to get an up and coming point guard. On a
side note, how much is Bibby getting as opposed to
Kenny?
