I'm guessing they figure McLeod either 1) can provide a scoring boost off the
bench if healthy, 2) if not, be stashed on the IL legitimately and without
complaining (was it Moiso who didn't like being parked on the IL while
healthy?),  3) or be off the cap if things don't work out. For the trouble of
trying him out, we get a low 1st round pick and Moiso's (admittedly small)
contract off the books. Not bad, unless, of course, they're wrong about him.
