I didn't see the game, but this was maybe Toine's third game at the position and
so I wouldn't pass final judgement quite yet. It'll take a much longer
adjustment period...I know most of us wouldn't make it ten feet up the court if
Baron Davis or David Wesley were defending our dribble. Besides, judging by the
boxscore Toine shared a significant amount of time with pointguards Palacio and
Herren (they played a combined 40 minutes) so ball distribution problems were
shared by others.

I don't like what Kenny said or how he said it (I mean the guy refers to himself
in the third person) but I've got to say his momma comments do sound empirically
accurate.

One point of comparison. Antoine did average 5.5 assists this season, compared
to Kenny's 5.1 the season before and 5.28 combined in 1998-2000 as a starter.
Antoine produced more steals, Kenny had far fewer turnovers. Pick your poison, I
guess.

It is hard to imagine Gaston buying out a 17 million contract without at least
getting salary cap relief. Whether he'd go so far as to trade draft picks just
to move Kenny's salary, I really don't know.

A Kenny for Derrick Coleman swap is at least worth considering, since they both
have the same size and length of contract. We need a better lowpost scorer, and
besides beggers can't be choosers. It would be nice if NJ or NY showed an
interest in Kenny, but so far that hasn't materialized and I don't really see
why it would.
