You do the math!

Title: You do the math!
In yesterday's post, querying the choices for next season's roster, I forgot to mention Chris Carr. There is a real need on the team for that type of scorer, who can pass and play defense. Carr really played well and was an unstoppable scoring threat. Pitino and then O'Brien held him back, citing defensive issues. Honestly; I didn't think he was such a liability. He played like a veteran; taking good shots, finding the open man and rebounding in traffic.
Looking again at the holdovers by contract: Walker, Pierce, Battie, Potapenko, Anderson, Williams, Moiso and McCarty, we can probably add the inexpensive Blount and Palacio. That makes 10. With Sesar coming in for a look and 3 draft picks coming, it's hard to see where Carr, Stith, Griffen, Brown and Herren can all make the team. While Herren and Griffen have lots of heart, is there enough bench, or injured list space ?
Brown can become a coach, but finding a resolution to Anderson's situation is essential. What can be done with him? Can he still play? Will he go home and come back in the best shape of his career to answer his critics and prove his worth? Has his act worn so thin here that no one cares? I still have my doubts that Walker will let any point guard run the team. If that's the case; Walker has to go.
I would keep Carr and Stith. These guys are battle tested and very hard to replace, but trade the pick(s) for a player like Bibby and try to find the rebounder who could let Walker play some away from the basket. Perhaps Battie and Potapenko playing together would be strong enough, but Battie's game is a faded memory. What would it take to get Ratliff? Nazr Mohammed is a free agent with strong ties to Walker and O'Brien. Even Tractor Trailor who would be available for very little, has shown me game. I think he is a player waiting for an oportunity.
I think, barring the draft miracle that brings a stud center, that we need to lock up a veteran point guard and a monster rebounder.
Next year we have to make the playoffs, I don't think it's time to bring in any more projects.
I wan't to see a lot of Griffen, Herren and Moiso over the next 4 games. Don't give me any mathematical elimination crap.
