Brand is a good player who has flaws (just like 'Toine). it will take a
couple of years for he and Crawford to flourish. Do we really want to go
back to the "wait til next year" mentality?

On talent alone, I'd do this. However, you have to wonder why this
dynamic duo never acomplished anything in Vancouver. I do think the Grizz
could probably get more for them.

The Lakers will have to move Kobe in the summer. They can't take a
chance on upsetting Shaq who is the best player in the league (By a large
margin). That puts them at a real disadvantage in trade talks. If they
can't get a Carterr or a Kidd, I think Paul Pierce could be plan B. The
only caveat is whether Jerry West has any influence left in the
organization. His hatred of the Celtics is legendary, and he'd want to
see Kobe in Golden State before allowing him to wear green.
