Maybe someone more knowlegeable can explain how criminal charges are
determined (and what the average length of sentence might be in each case),
but since when is a premeditated multiple knife attack to the chest, neck
and head with a 7-inch blade NOT an attempted murder? If those found guilty
are out on parole in 18 months, I feel really sorry for Paul Pierce.

Since we're on the subject Ray Dogg, I'm not really sure "moving in on da
bee-atch" is a politically correct expression. Aight?

I wish Moiso was playing for his Olympic team so that we could have seen
him against the Dream Team, but then again Chris Anstey apparently got
released by the Bulls because he chose to play for his country rather than
take part in the Bulls strength program.

Much to my surprise, the French are actually going nuts over here with
broad coverage of the men's basketball team, which just advanced to the
semi-finals (against Australia) today. The TV announcers were practically
going "Do you believe in miracles? Oui!" at the end of the game. I think you
have to be impressed with a team that is playing this well without the
presence of Moiso and Tariq Abdul-Wahad. If they make the finals or win any
kind of medal, this will be great for the development of French basketball.
An NBA first round draft pick in three consecutive years (St Jean, Weis,
Moiso) is nothing to laugh at, even if it may be a fluke.
