Corey Benjamin? Etc...

It looks like the Bulls might have to cut 2 guard Corey Benjamin (He is on a
non-guaranteed contract/try out).  He was a pretty good scorer in college
wasn't he?  Anybody know his game well enough to say if he could contribute
off the bench?  The Bulls have cap space, would they want any of our back
ups in exchange?

I'd say that Stith is projected behind Pierce at the 2 right now.  The other
2's haven't shown me much so far.  We need some people that can hit a pull
up jumper from 15'.  I always hear "instant offense" off the bench.  I'd
settle for ANY offense off the bench right now.  Your not going to bench the
starter giving 80%, if the back up is worse even giving 110%.  While I would
applaud a change from Anderson, Herren won't replace him in the near future,
IMO.

Comments off the cuff about this team:

People I talk to who actually still follow the Celtics, keep asking me if
Walker is "really as fat as he looks" on the tube.

A season ticket holder I know couldn't give away section 2 tickets for the
preseason game at the Fleet Center the other night.  He also stated that he
couldn't give away (free) regular season games last year.  Unless Pitino
and/or Walker are gone at the end of this year, another waiting list person
will get his seats next year.

Every time Pierce opens his mouth the more I like this kid.  Does it seem
odd to anyone else that the "Celtics family" didn't remember his birthday
last week?  What is Pitino's posse ...er coaching staff keeping track of?
Some "family".  I guess when Pitino refers to the "Celtics family" he sees
himself as an only child.

The more I read about VP's attitude about basketball the more I wish it was
contagious and his teammates caught it.  (Apparently the Hornets coach was
able to spread that last year.  How long is his contract? How much does he
get paid?)

This defensive scheme just doesn't seem to work.  Are the players that
stupid/lazy or is the system ill advised when the other team is made up of
NBA level talent unlike in college?
