How does (12 - 1) + (2) = (12) + (2)? 

If the Celtics have 14 healthy players, with 2 having "phantom" injuries, 
then one of the 12 active ones goes to the injured list for real, then 
you should be able to activate one of the "injured" players (Williams or 
Stith in your case) without having to put an active healthy player (Herren 
in your example) on the injured list, right?
