Jesus H. Christ. I know there's no way you'll think the team'll be
better, but to say that they've improved and it won't matter is a
logical fallacy. Only on the Celts List would you hear, in effect:
"Team's better, but they'll suck worse."

You're right when you say that one of the reasons the team loses is
that they are weak in the post, offensively _and_ defensively. So
what are they going to do about it? A trade? Yeah, I'm seriously
thinking that that Motumbo/Jackson trade for our mediocre big men and
salary cap riff-raff is going to happen ... right after hell freezes
over. If I were tempted to use hyperbole to make my point I'd
suggest trading for Shaq/Kobe while we're at it. On second thought,
I won't. Tanking the season is, of course, not an option. Whether
some of us internet fans think it's good or not, I can't see the
current C's management doing that. So how do we improve the quality
of our big men? We work on the ones we have and hope they improve.
You may not like that, but, barring an actual trade (as opposed to
all the pipe dreams thought out loud here), there's only one other
way: getting lucky, or moving up, in the draft.

If you watch the games, you'll see the team is slightly better than
last year. Is that enough to make them a good team? No, not yet,
but if they continue to improve, they might be someday. Maybe even
someday soon.

Still, it is true that the team is weak when it comes to big men; I
just don't see what option is more likely than the team sticking with
what they've got (maybe trading one of our guys -- V or Battie -- for
another chance on another underperforming big man).
