RE: season predictions

I agree that Milwaukee is seriously overhyped. How did a team starting such
notable marshmellows as Glenn Robinson, Tim Thomas, and Ray Allen ever get a
reputation as a hard-nosed defensive squad? They aren't even that gifted
offensively, given that their three best players are all jump-shooters.
Bill Simmons writes that they are so far ahead of the Celtics...gimme a
break, as T.H. would say. Indiana sucks too. They were beatable last year,
with Dale Davis, Mark Jackson, and Rik Smits. This year they are just
another veteran team. I'm telling you, the East is up for grabs. Charlotte
should do pretty well if DC decides to bring it, and the Knicks and Heat
will be tough veteran teams no matter who is playing for them. But
otherwise, we could easily end up as the fourth or fifth seed if things go
according to play and we get some momentum going. How anybody thinks we
will win FEWER games than last year's
disaster is beyond me, although I guess it could happen if the team gets its
spirit broken again as it was by VC's buzzer beater last year, and tanks the
last months of the season. But I don't see that happening.
