Why Croshere is a bad idea

If the C's go for a forward in free agency, I wish they would look at real
veteran players who play like the Davis boys (Dale, Antonio), instead of
Austin Croshere.

All of our big men, including McCarty and Antoine can already hit a stand
still jumper, so why did Red say the C's want to go after a jumpshooting
PF?  Croshere is not a stopper on D, and isn't an explosive help defender
like the Davis's or Battie(potentially).  I think Tony and Fortson
have the upside of being stronger and better than him, if Pitino would
ever play them at the natural PF position.

On another topic, don't underestimate the importance of shotblocking in
pro basketball.  Antoines heart, rebounding, and scoring CAN be replaced
by others.  Mutumbo's shot changing ability is priceless and would be
recognized if his team wasn't filled with mediocre scorers and a coach
who's against fast break basketball.  Think about it... right now we have
pretty much the shortest, least intimidating defensive frontline in the
game.
