I agree it is largely about body genetics. Even if Wallah and Battie ate 8000
calories of protein a day and worked out non-stop, the most muscle weight they
could gain is probably considerably less than 10 pounds per year. You can't take a
guy with thin hips and long legs and turn him into an NFL offensive lineman (or
into Arnold Schwartenegger), no matter how much that person can already bench press
or how athletic they are. Similarly, you surely need natural lower body ballast (a
big ass) at least as much as you need "hops" to successfully guard power forwards
in the paint. BTW, I'm quite sure Antoine has the frame (certainly the metabolism)
to transform into an "incredible hulk" type body with the right commitment to the
weightroom. All of this is of course FWIW.
