Sixer game
Don't be so hard on the C's for losing this game. These things happen. We
made the big plays that normally have won the game. Pierce made the big
shots. Things happen. You just should have played with this passion earlier
in the season and not lost some of those games, that's all....Did you notice
Walker take his terrible attempts at the three in the first half. After
missing badly two to three times, he actually FINALLY turned down a couple of
possible three attempts to instead start to dribble and take him man to the
hole. Take away those stupid three attempts away from Walker and maybe that
is what lost the game? MAYBE WALKER HAS FINALLY LEARNED FROM TOUGH LOVE!
That's what this team needs is tough love, Pierce, Walker, Battie, VP and
Kenny. All need to go through the school of hard knocks since they don't want
to do it the easy way. Pierce, an incredible talent, has to learn to pass
out of the double team to make him a complete player. Walker, who also has
such gifts, has to play to his strengths, passing, dribbling and playing
inside instead of trying to be a face up jump shooter, his greatest weakness.
Kenny, who continually send the wrong message to this team of taking the
quick three. He never looks for the best matchup advantage. He spends half of
the 24 second clock trying to find an openning to penetrate. He has to use
his penetration as the exception and not the rule. Battie, who only plays
when motivated. This just shouldn't be. He should bring it every night. VP, a
legitimate tough guy who just needs a kick in the rear end. Grow up, VP, and
get some confidence. You got a sweet shot but you have let some stupid
so-called Boston fans get in your head. Forget those dogs and just do it for
yourself....A couple of other notes: What has happened to Griffen. He has
totally evaporated from the player that started the season. He is a step
slower when he was already slow, can't elevate and can't hit the open jumper.
It is like he has some tropical disease and inhibits him athletically in all
areas. Let's hope the offseason can recharge his batteries; Barros is
actually having his best season as a Celtic, IMO. Remember when ML signed
him, he was just an All-Star and he was the best free agent available other
than Anthony Mason. This is the first year that when Dana was open, he would
nail the shot. This doesn't cover all of his other deficiencys. However, you
would think it wouldn't take 4 years for a former All-Star to get his kink
out of his shot; One other: we have to resign Fortson. He will have to accept
that he is going to be a backup. He could be a solid backup for us at the 5
spot for the next 5-7 years. If we can just get him to rachet down his
expectations to a role that is realistic. We got ourselves a real, nice
backup player that we need to keep...
