Colin, were you "harshly criticized" and "flamed"? Did people on the list
"turn their noses up" at you? You poor thing, you must be very traumatized.
The first thing you've got to learn is not to read replies to Dan Forant
as being directed at you.

Now, a previous poster explained his reason for picking low was to avoid
being disappointed. I can accept that. Keep your expectations low and it
won't hurt so much if the team stinks. But what is wrong with people coming
out before the season and saying, "I hope this team proves all it's critics
wrong so that we can really let them have it."? Isn't that just being a
fan? As I remember it, most of that was directed at the press who were
really trashing the C's in the pre-season predictions. We all wanted them
to have to eat their words. And it hasn't worked out that way. Aren't we
entitled to be a little surly about it? How can anyone, as a Celtics fan,
take any solace in saying "I told you so"?
