RE: WEEI C's Trade Rumor

That's true, but even if you don't get an "impact" player,
only a small portion of the good players in the league were
drafted in the top three. Indiana doesn't have a single player
on the squad drafted in the top three; neither does Portland.
Forget about impact players and acquire talented players. I
like this insane, imaginary Golden State trade, but I would like
it a lot more if we also got a lower pick. Draft choices are gold.
and the new rules make them the economic salvation of most
franchises.

What kills me is how we have to suffer under the ineptitude of
Peter May and the other 2nd rate boston sportswriters. It's
amazing how they are parroting this line about Keyon Dooling.
May even says that the Celtics offered their pick for Othella
Harrington, when it has been plainly reported elsewhere that the
celtics turned that trade down cold when Vancouver came with it.
As any sane organization would.

Anyway, in my heart of hearts, I don't want to see a trade. I want
to add a Jamal Crawford or a Olumide Olujide to the club and see
what happens. Screw this wholesale turnover stuff. The only way
the pick should be traded is if it brings us immediate cap relief AND
another pick OR a true impact player like Latrell Spreewell.
