Lawrence: Bird & Big O2 To The C's

Mitch Lawrence says in 
today's NY Daily News that the C's
will take Oyedeji at 11, and that Larry 
Bird will be back with the Celtics next season:

Before heading off for his one-year retirement, Larry Bird told the
Pacers not to hire Isiah Thomas as his replacement. They've been getting
a lot of that kind of advice lately, what with Thomas' reputation for
being a guy who will stab you in the back to get power. Bird's plan is
to stay in Florida, then resurface in 2001 after Rick Pitino is
sacked/leaves the Celtics. Then he would go back to Boston to handle GM
duties, which is what he wanted over coaching three seasons ago In the
Finals...
