Jackie O on Channel 7 says High-Schooler

Jackie MacMullan was on Channel 7 in Boston last night and said the
following about the Celtics:

- Pitino loves Van Horn, but she can't see Rod Thorn giving up
the first pick in the draft.

- Van Horn has had two down years.

- She likes Toine, and while he will never be the next Magic
or Larry, he should be able to perennially contend for a spot
on the All-Star team. And she expects him to be with the Celtics
for the upcoming season.

- It's important for Pitino in this draft, despite the fact that the
C's have a low lottery pick, to come out of it with a gem.

- She thinks that the C's may select a high-schooler ala what Jerry
West did with Koby Bryant.

- Jackie says of the high-schoolers, Darius Miles will be long gone, 
but she wonders with Leonard Hamilton leaving Miami, whether 
6-10 small forward Darius Rice will now enter the draft.
(I was a little confused by this. The deadline has gone for
the early declarers. Would they hold a supplemental draft
for him?) 

She said that New jersey would have been a good destination for
Pitino, as he would have been good for Stephon Marbury.
