I don't know if I'd say that, but I do think the Mercer trade has spooked
him. I think he's scared to death of making another mistake. If he traded
Pierce and it didn't work out-say Grant was injured and Bonzi didn't pan
out-he'd be crucified. He won't face the same criticism if he just holds
onto Pierce, even if that means the Celts are stuck in mediocrity for years
to come. Of course, I'd think he would be bold at this point, considering
he's gone after this season anyway.
