Last night they gave up the fight

I saw a lack of team, a lack of passing, and, despite what Pitino is saying
about a positive attitude, some players
giving up hope. We all know, if we play sports, how demoralizing and
confusing it can be when a talented team
spirals downward. It starts small and if you don't have wise people around,
no one notices or sometimes cares. It grows
and before you know it, everyone is affected. Ask for the cause, ask for a
solution and most of the players will say the
same thing, but really don't have a clue about what is happening.

I am even getting tired of Pitino's attitude of "you have to stay
positive." I'm not sure, it's just my opinion, but every
now and again, it's ok if someone throws a nutty and at least turns the
tide and the tone of the effort around. A
players only meeting or something! I don't like finger pointing as it is
generally destructive, but clearing the air can
be a good thing. Isn't it always better when you "clear the air" with your
spouse, friend, etc. Generally, things change.

Defense is about effort and tenacity. I would start there. Everyone
one-on-one, period. Hustle and play D or get yanked even
if it means the team doesn't have it's best offensive players on the floor.
What is this about the players being tired? That seems
extraordinary to me.

Or maybe this is all about immaturity and it literally can't change until
everyone gets older and wiser.

Like the team, I suffer from a lack of answers.

I love the Celtics, but I don't like what I am seeing lately. Discouraged....
