Thoughts from the Fleet

Yes,

That giant sucking sound you heard last night was our
beloved C's solidifying the lottery!

Last night was the first time I saw Rodman in person
and he was unbelievable. Rebounding last night like
crazy (except when Fortson was in from of him).

Antoine has developed this nice move to the basket.
Have you seen it? He stops dribbling, takes his two
steps, then hops 180 degrees for another two steps
before taking his shot. No travelling calls and it
usually results in a trip to the free throw line. I
saw him do this in LA also. Nice move if he can
perfect it.

"Monster" Nash looked like Cousy out there and
Nowitzski killed us! He is a keeper.

Paul Pierce is unstoppable and V did a great job too.
Fortson looked good to me. Not enough of him, but how
can you give him time with Batman out there (LOL)?

Horrifying sight (beside blowing the 20 point lead) --
4 mins left in the game and AW and KA are playing hot
potato on offense. When they came back, neither one
wanted to take the shot, so either AW turned it over,
or the ball was given to Wal-TUH, who clearly had no
problem with shooting the ball. 7 3's? Yeah, that's
what I want my near 7 footer doing at crunchtime.
Clearly, a veteran presence is needed out there and I
don't mean Oaktree. Max on the sidelines STILL looks
fit (and rather well dressed,I might add). Let's suit
up #31. He couldn't be worse than the other stiffs out
there. Btw, how can we get a campaign going to retire
#31 to the rafters? I mean, if Reggie Lewis is up
there, Max should be too. Let's face it: #35 was
retired only because of his untimely death. Had he
retired or been traded, that would be the end of it.
He was rewarded for his potential and what he might
have done, where Max got nothing for what he did
accomplish, which was be the 81 Finals MVP and put the
C's "on his shoulders" for game 7 of the 84 Finals.
