Re: possible Atlanta trade scenario?

Thanks for the kind words :)

I'm not wild about Henderson's contract either (but then I'm not that wild
about trading Fortson period :( I love his "Fort'tude" and how it rubs off
on our other players)

Another factor I neglected was the status of Henderson's contract - is he a
base year comp player? If so then 25% of his current contract can't go back
to Atlanta - but I think that this figure ($1.625 mil) is close in amount
to the 15% wiggle room ($1.53 mil) allowed in trades so it may not be an
impossible hurdle.

Perhaps a better and less complicated deal could be done without the two
contract players (Henderson and Eric Williams) but Atlanta would have to
throw in another player to balance Barros' contract - Roshown McLeod (as
suggested by John Lyell, he's 6-8, 221 lbs.)? Cal Bowdler (6-10, 253 lbs.
rookie)? La Phonso Ellis (vet smarts and 6-8, 240 lbs.)?

Excellent post. Even if its not true, you make a hell of a case for the
trade.
