Re: 2nd Rant of the day



AMEN BROTHER!!!  Better than I could have said it.  An excellent defense of
Antoine, and best of all, you didn't resort to the tired "he's young, he'll
learn" argument (which you mention at the end).  The three point shot at the
end of last night's game was a tremendously gutsy play, and I think he
deserves credit for having the balls to take it. (ladies, forgive me for the
gender-exclusive language)  Bird would be praised for taking this shot,
absolutely.  They'd talk about his "killer instinct" and "guts."  Instead,
they demand Walker's head on a platter for the exact same thing.

Where's the criticism of Pierce for missing his short jumper on the previous
play?  If Pierce makes that shot, Antoine's shot never happens.  Talk about
double standards.
