write the celtics "fan" mail

I urge you all to go to the Celtic web site and write the players a
"fan" mail telling them how much you admire their play.  I did.  I
intend to get their fax number tomorrow and fax them another one.  The

Here is what I wrote them.


Well, how can I say this.  I wish that the players
could read this and that any of them would care.  But
I suspect that they do not care what fans think of them.

But, I have been a Celtic fan since 1964.  I have never
been more disappointed with any team, even the terrible teams
of the late 70's than this team.  They don't seem to
have any heart.  I look at the box score for the game
tonight and wonder how you could play with less heart.

I think I would rather see a CBA team brought up that
would be happy for the privilege to play in the NBA.  If I was
Rick Pitino, I would quit today rather than deal with
a team that lets Chicago score 100 points and win
their third game in your own house.  What kind of lines
are these from a player 0-7, 4 rebounds and 4 turnovers?
2 rebounds and 6 turnovers?  1 assist from a point
guard?  Is it an accident that the Bulls had more assists
from two forwards, a center and two guards than our point guard.

These players should apologize to us fans for putting
on Celtic uniforms.  I have tickets for the Charlotte game
on Saturday, but why should I spend my day, time, and money to
travel to Charlotte to see someone play slack defense, fail to hustle,
fail to pass, fail to show any pride at all.

I wish I had the opportunity to play ball at this level.  When I play
at the Y, I don't leave the floor without leaving it all out there.
You guys are too spoiled to know how well you have it.

Please do not go back out on the floor unless you intend
to play with pride.  You are embarrassing your fans.

I have had enough.  Please bring back someone like X from
retirement; he has more game than these guys.
