BACKGROUND
Milt Palacio was undrafted after playing three seasons of college ball at Colorado State but made the Vancouver Grizzlies as a free agent, appearing in 53 games in his rookie season of 1999-2000 but seeing only limited action.

Palacio averaged 7.9 and 9.8 points per game in his first two seasons of college ball but came on strong in 1998-99, averaging 18.4 points per game in 30 outings. For his career he averaged 12.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in 88 games and shot .466 from the field and .361 from three-point range.

The 6-3 guard was bypassed in the 1999 NBA Draft but signed with Vancouver as a free agent and won a spot on the Grizzlies' roster. He played in 53 games as a rookie but saw relatively little action, averaging 2.0 points in 7.4 minutes per game.
1999-2000 SEASON
Palacio played in 53 games as a rookie, all in a reserve capacity. He averaged 2.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 7.4 minutes per game and shot .439 from the field and .595 from the free throw line.

He scored in double figures once, netting a career-high 11 points in 13 minutes at Toronto on Jan. 9. He shot 3-for-4 from the field and 5-for-6 from the free throw line in that contest. He played double digit minutes in just 15 of his 53 appearances, with a career-high 19 minutes against Dallas on Feb. 6 when he had four points and three assists.

He grabbed a career-high four rebounds on four occasions, and dished a career-high four assists against Chicago on Feb. 4.
