RE: the trade and salary cap

I believe that this trade is cap-neutral.  We take on 6.5M (Pack/Williams) in salary - we give up 3.5 (Barros) and receive 3M cash to offset the difference.  At the end of the year, the cumulative salary would have been exactly the same if we just let Barros go.  We esentially gave up a Fortson for a first round pick.  Losing Barros is irrelevant despite the fact he was a good guy.

Subject: the trade and salary cap

Do any of you know how this trade helps us in regard to the salary cap? I mean will we still be over the cap after next year? Under the cap? I believe that we are over the cap this season by a large amount, does this trade help to solve this? Also, are there any other contracts that will be complete by the end of this next season? Minor's should be up soon I would think.....
