Defense of Jerome Moiso

I'm sick of this crap of abusing a guy before he has played a single minute
with the Celtics. First of all, Moiso has much, much more upside than
Alexander;
that much is apparent right now. Everyone would say Moiso has more
all-around
ability than Alexander. I wanted Courtney too, he obviously can score, just
as JR
Rider, Cedric Ceballos, and Damon Stoudamire can score. There's more to
basketball,
and this guy has got the huge hands, the footwork, the shotblocking ability,
and the touch
around the basket to be --potentially -- a major impact player. He was the
guy we couldn't
bypass. I'm tired of hearing how he's just like Battie, or just like
Walter. I started that one,
by the way, and I said it out of pure ignorance. I don't know why Battie
doesn't bring it more
often, but Moiso played two years in a foreign country with talented and
aggressive teammates
under a bad coach in maybe the most unsound basketball territory in the
world. It would have
been a miracle if he had been dominating as a sophomore. Give the guy a
break already!
