I hope all Celtic fans will join me in a tip of the hat to Jerry West,
stepping down as GM after some 40 years with the Lakers. Like the Lakers or
not, this guy was a tremendous player and even a better GM. After all, he
brought the Lakers back from one title in 1986 to another in 2000, a mere 14
year cycle, while our beloved Cs are floundering after 16. Basketball owes
him a place of honor.
