Jersey Red On Pitino Bashing (brief)

               The Pitino bashing by the Boston media took another low
on Sunday
               evening when Gene Lavanchy and Jackie McMullen, who is
leaving
               Sports Illustrated, reported that Pitino has interviewed
for the Kentucky
               and North Carolina jobs, which is absolutely false. And
although Pitino
               warned the reporter from Channel 7 that if he reported
the story he
               would make a fool of himself, he did it anyway. 

               Out of loyalty I had to hit the clicker often on Saturday
night as                      Florida was playing North Carolina and the
Celtics were playing                         Cleveland, and I'm more
convinced than ever that the NBA is a joke and                  college
hoop gets better every year.
