Walton in Iowa

I read the post about Bill Walton and had to share my Walton story:

A couple of years ago, Bill was scheduled to speak at a charity dinner I was
involved with. He flew into Cincinnati and I, being a huge fan, volunteered
to pick him up at the airport. I did the same for Tony Dorsett the year
before, when the dinner organizers arranged for a limo for the one-hour trip
from the airport.

I assumed they would also arrange a limo for Walton. However, when I went
over to the site of the dinner to meet the limo, I was told they weren't
doing that this time around. That left me picking up Bill Walton in my 1994
Honda Civic.

I met Bill in the terminal and we made our way to the parking garage. We
stopped at my car, his jaw dropped, and he said "Not this car???"

He then somehow folded himself into the passenger seat (I still don't know
how) and we made our way back to the dinner.

Bill was a real gentleman about it, however, and even made mention of it
(and got a good laugh) during his speech that night.
