103-90 C's

This was a very satisfying win I think, playing shorthanded and all. It was
the Paul Pierce show and it was a good one, hopefully an indicator of things
to come. PP hooped 30 pts in an outstanding performance. He scored in
every way imaginable. Toine came on in the 2nd half to finish with a
respectable 22 pts. He had one particularly gorgeous spin to the hoop to
lay it in through 3 Raptors. But Waltah was the biggest surprise, as it was
he, and not Cheaney, who went 6-6 from downtown and ended with 20 unexpected
points. Glad I wasn't listening to Heinsohn tonight cuz he woulda been
NUTS!!! Adrian Griffin had a very nice all-round game also with 14 pts.
Kenny wasn't spectacular but he didn't turn it over too much either. Battie
didn't get much PT as he was in foul trouble, along with VP which
necessitated the use of Bob Marley, er, Pervis Ellison, who actually played
better than I thought he would.

I guess the only disappointment for me was the ineffective play of VP.
Someone needs to teach him that when a defender has inside position, not to
reach for the ball as it will only create a foul. He will be on the bench
alot in the 2nd halves if this trend continues.
When Fort returns, and adding Barros in the backcourt, we will be an
exciting team to watch. I'll even bet Ol Danny Forant Sr. might be happy
with this win. Go get em tomorrow night gang.
