Well, ok...since we're all admitting it these days, I had the same idea
after Portland ripped them. Googs would be a very, very nice fit for the
Celtics. I think, however, that if Phoenix moves him, they try to get
bigger and stronger up front. The Blazers just beat the crap out of their
front court. Phoenix needs a bruiser if they're ever going to compete. But
maybe there's a three-way somewhere just waiting. However, before we get
overly excited, I just want to point out that there's been a lot of hype
about Googs this year. He's a very nice offensive player. He's not a very
good defender and isn't very physical. He does play a little soft.
However...the guy obviously has the full offensive package. If nothing
else, you know Pitino and Colangelo are working the phones, so I assume
their lines will cross soon. I look forward to seeing Pat Riley sitting on
the bench with that helpless "spaced out" look in his eyes, tonight. This
last game, well, hopefully last game should be wild. Look for Mourning to
smack somebody. Dudley's just the guy.
