Well, you know Jerome Williams was a career 10.5ppg scorer in the
NCAAs and was drafted 26th overall. Of course it is hard to be anything
but a role player with Iverson on your college team. :-) <<<

Aptly put! Also--apropos of your mention of Othella Harrington--he was,
in fact, the #1 rated high school player his senior year. His first two
years at G-Town were solid (if unspectacular) but he showed a lot of
poise and promise.

Iverson's arrival was the harbinger of the demise of Harrington's game
AND profile. Allen singlehandedly ruined Harrington's game with his
gunning / selfish play. Othella went from being the most highly sought
after player in high school to a second round pick. Not that it ended up
being a bad thing, because he appeared to have a breakout year this
past season, although I suppose that playing against Olajuwon and
Barkley (not to mention Kevin Willis) in practice every day was beneficial.

So...let me reiterate Mr. Hironaka's question: does anyone on the list
know what Harrington's status is vis a vis free agency? With a contract
that befits his former second round pick-status, he might be easily
persuaded to follow the allure of dollar signs and increased playing time
(assuming, that is, that Gaston's fingers can be pried off of his purse
strings).
