Now the league is intervening in an age clause?  What happened to age
discrimination?  Benz can you enlighten us here?  Good thing they didn't
worry about this kind of crap when Kareem and Chief signed their last deals.

What business does the league have butting into a deal signed in good faith
by the team and player, as long as it is legal by league standards.  With
this in mind maybe David Stern should be retired to some pasture somewhere.
Maybe the league should have stuck their noses in the contract negotiations
between Dave Cowens and el Cheapo in Charlotte.  They probably couldn't get
the jerk to come out of his girlfriends apartment long enough to talk. Oh
well Dave is better off for sure.

Actually $85 million, the league voided the 7th year option because of his
age.
